About Us

Uttarakhand is a state in northern India, and chess is a popular sport in the region. The Uttarakhand State Chess Association (USCA) is the governing body for chess in the state. The association organizes various chess tournaments and events throughout the year, including state-level championships, rating tournaments, and coaching camps.
Several talented chess players from Uttarakhand have represented the state at national and international levels. Some of the notable players include IM Himal Gusain, WIM Ivana Maria Furtado, FM Pankaj Kumar, and CM Kunal Dhyani.
